The new format is intended to complement the company’s existing manure range
Home gardening has created demand for products that are straightforward to store, handle and apply. Consumers growing plants in balconies, terraces, courtyards and small gardens often look for options that fit their available space and routine. Product format and clear usage guidance can be just as important as the category itself.
Formoura Private Limited plans to introduce pure organic liquid fertilisers within its manure division, adding to its existing gardening-related products. The move is intended to broaden the company’s offering for home gardeners and other relevant customers who prefer a liquid format for suitable gardening applications.
A new product format requires more than formulation and packaging. Businesses need to consider how customers will use the product, how it should be stored, what instructions must appear on the label and which quality checks are appropriate. Clear directions can help buyers understand the intended use and avoid confusion at the point of purchase.
For Formoura, the planned launch is also connected to its wider product and distribution strategy. The company currently has a presence in Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Odisha, Bihar and Jharkhand, and is working towards pan-India coverage by March 2027. As distribution expands, product availability will depend on demand forecasting, stock planning and reliable delivery to channel partners.
Gardening products can serve customers with very different levels of experience. Some may maintain a few household plants, while others may manage larger gardens or nursery operations. Understanding these needs can help the company decide on pack sizes, product information and the channels through which each item should be sold.
The planned liquid fertiliser range will need to be developed and marketed in line with applicable quality, labelling and regulatory requirements. Product claims should be clear and supported by the relevant product information. This is important for helping consumers make informed decisions and for maintaining consistency as the category grows.
By adding liquid fertilisers to its manure division, Formoura aims to build a broader gardening portfolio alongside its cow-dung cakes and pooja products. The initiative reflects the company’s intention to develop products around established traditional categories while responding to the practical needs of today’s customers.
