Amreen Salim Khan | Simple Delight Kitchen (SDK) | @sdk___1888
In a world where food trends change every day, one name is creating a distinct identity through authenticity, faith and follower love – Amreen Salim Khan, founder of Simple Delight Kitchen (SDK) and creator behind Instagram @sdk___1888, known for her easy Indian recipes.
Her journey is not like other food creators. She never planned to become a chef, she never imagined building a food brand, and she never even went to the kitchen for a glass of water. Today, the same girl is winning trophies, getting invited as a chief guest, getting nominated for national awards and launching a book that her followers demanded.
This is the story of a woman who turned Allah’s second blessing into fame, while staying within the boundaries of Islam.
A Book Born From Follower Love
Amreen’s new book, Viral Starters On Followers’ Demand – Cafe-Style Party Starters Collection 2026, is a direct result of her audience’s love.
Every time she posted a starter recipe, her inbox was filled with messages – “full recipe please”, “please make a book”, “we want all recipes in one place”. Viewers were not just watching, they were trying the recipes at home, sharing their photos and tagging her.
Listening to this demand, Amreen curated, tested and plated a special collection of cafe-style starters – dishes that get finished first at every party.
The collection features favourites like Garlic Butter Bites, Dubai Mutton Bites, Sheet Pan Kebab and Dual Platter – along with signature favourites like Biryani, Kheema, Kashmiri Waza and Kunafa. From cafe-style starters to traditional festive dishes, the book brings together taste, presentation and easy home cooking in one place.
Viewers Response And Feedback
The response to the book has been overwhelming. Within days of its announcement, Amreen received hundreds of messages, positive comments and heartfelt feedback from viewers across Instagram. Many followers shared that they tried the recipes for family gatherings, Eid dawat and parties and received great compliments from their families.
Followers have described the recipes as easy to follow, perfect for beginners and cafe-style in presentation. This positive feedback has become one of the biggest reasons behind the book’s growing popularity.
For Amreen, this response is more than just numbers. It is proof that when you listen to your audience and create with sincerity, people connect with your work.
In Her Own Words
“My first passion has always been to become a doctor, and it still is. Cooking was never my passion – I never even went to the kitchen for a glass of water. But when life took me away from my first dream, I decided to use the second blessing Allah gave me. I started working on my cooking talent while staying within the boundaries of Islam. Today, the girl who never entered the kitchen is receiving trophies, stage and recognition. This is purely Allah’s blessing, and this is just the beginning, Alhamdulillah.”
Achievements And Recognition
Amreen’s journey has brought her remarkable recognition in a short time.
She was nominated for the Power Creator Awards 2026 by Times Entertainment in the Best Food Content – Main Category, after starting in the Emerging Category. She also received the Top 30 Indian Women Achievers Award 2026 from Diva Planet as Outstanding Food Content Creator of 2026 for Simple Delight Kitchen. In addition, she was invited as a Special Chief Guest at Hyderabad Glam Night.
Her earlier digital products, including her first eBook at Rs.100 and a five-starter recipe kit at Rs.150, also received great appreciation from her audience, paving the way for this bigger collection.
These milestones are not just awards. They are proof that a woman who started with no kitchen experience can build a respected identity through consistency, sincerity and faith.
A Vision That Inspires
For Amreen, fame is not the destination. Her vision is to inspire other women to use their God-given talents, even if their first dream does not work out. She believes that if Allah closes one door, He opens a better one, and that success should always remain connected to values and gratitude.
As she continues to grow Simple Delight Kitchen, she hopes to launch more digital products, connect with a wider audience and use her platform to support charitable causes.
Her story is a powerful reminder – what we want in life is not always what we get, because Allah has written something better than the best for us.
