Where Business Meets Literature: An Entrepreneur’s Book Takes the Stage at Prerna Utsav 4.0

A literature festival at the Kendriya Hindi Sansthan made space for a different kind of story this year: the story of building a business from nothing.

New Delhi: Literature festivals usually celebrate poetry, fiction and the craft of writing. At Prerna Utsav 4.0, held on October 25, 2026, at the Kendriya Hindi Sansthan, one of the books launched came from an unexpected place: the world of business. Entrepreneur Ravi Kapoor, founder of Tushar Gems, launched SUCCESS BY CHANCE OR CHOICE, his account of building a first-generation business.

Why a business story belongs at a literature festival

It is a life story first. The book follows one man’s journey from a middle-class home to building his own brand.
It asks a universal question. Is success luck, or the result of the choices we make?
It speaks to young readers. Ravi Kapoor said the book is meant for anyone who wants to do something big in life, especially Gen Z.
It is told in the author’s own voice. He wrote it himself, as a first-person account.

What the audience heard

Ravi Kapoor told the gathering that he started his business in 1998, when there was no internet and no AI tool to help. He explained how he noticed that gemstones in India had no brand of their own, and how that gap became Gemwix. He also spoke about travelling abroad to look for new opportunities, including a recent week in China.

SUCCESS BY CHANCE OR CHOICE was launched on Sunday, October 25, 2026, at Prerna Utsav 4.0, a one-day literature festival at the Kendriya Hindi Sansthan, Qutub Institutional Area, New Delhi. The festival was organised by Prerna Darpan Sahityik evam Sanskritik Manch and Sahitya 24 Prakashan, in the presence of chief guest Ashok Kumar Singh, programme president Alka Sinha, special guest Prof. Dr. Meeta Sinha, keynote speaker Rishi Kumar Sharma, welcome president Dr. C. M. Bhagat and Sahitya 24 founder Hariprakash Pandey. The book is published by Sahitya 24 Prakashan and is available on Amazon and Amazon Kindle.
