The Rays of Belief IPO entered its final bidding day on September 3 with strong investor demand. The ₹125 crore issue had been subscribed 8.63 times by 11:15 AM, led by retail investors, while institutional participation remained comparatively weak.

Rays of Belief IPO subscription surges on final day

The Rays of Belief IPO is witnessing a sharp rise in subscription activity as bidding reaches its final day. The public issue opened on September 1 and is scheduled to close on September 3 at 5 PM.

According to the latest available subscription data at 11:15 AM on September 3, the issue had received overall bids equivalent to 8.63 times the shares on offer. This marks a substantial increase from 3.50 times at the end of Day 2 and 1.13 times on the first day.

The strongest demand has come from retail investors. Their portion was subscribed 36.65 times by 11:15 AM on the final day. Within the non-institutional investor category, the big HNI segment was subscribed 15.35 times, while the small HNI segment stood at 7.37 times.

The qualified institutional buyer category, however, remained muted at just 0.02 times.

₹125 crore IPO has a ₹227 to ₹239 price band

Rays of Belief Limited is raising ₹125 crore through a fresh issue of 52.30 lakh equity shares. The IPO has a price band of ₹227 to ₹239 per share, with the final issue price fixed at the upper end if the issue is priced at ₹239.

The minimum bid is 62 shares, meaning investors applying at the upper price band need ₹14,818 for one lot. The issue does not include an offer-for-sale component, so the entire issue consists of fresh shares issued by the company.

The company operates under the Mom’s Belief brand and provides intervention programmes for children with neurodevelopmental disorders. Its services cover conditions including autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, intellectual disabilities, learning disabilities and global developmental delays.

Retail investors drive Rays of Belief IPO demand

The subscription pattern is notable because retail investors have accounted for much of the demand during the three-day bidding period.

On Day 1, the retail category was already subscribed 6.25 times. By the end of Day 2, that figure had climbed to 18 times. On the final day, it increased further to 36.65 times by 11:15 AM.

Non-institutional investors also increased their participation considerably on Day 3. The big HNI category moved to 15.35 times, while the small HNI category reached 7.37 times.

The low QIB participation creates a contrasting picture. Despite the overall issue being heavily oversubscribed, qualified institutional buyers had subscribed only 0.02 times by the latest reported update. This means the headline subscription figure is being driven overwhelmingly by retail and non-institutional demand rather than institutional investors.

Mom’s Belief operator expands child therapy network

Rays of Belief operates a network focused on specialised intervention and therapy services for children. As of March 31, 2026, the company had 136 centres across 57 cities in 20 states and Union Territories in India.

The company also has three centres in Virginia, United States. Its programmes primarily serve children between 18 months and 12 years, while certain vocational and life-skills programmes extend to older children. The company says it has served more than 58,000 children since commencing operations in 2018.

Its expansion has been accompanied by significant revenue growth. Revenue from operations increased from ₹30.61 crore in FY2024 to ₹81.66 crore in FY2026. However, the company’s profitability picture is more mixed. Total profit declined from ₹5.88 crore in FY2025 to ₹4.96 crore in FY2026, even as revenue increased substantially.

This difference between revenue growth and bottom-line performance is one of the factors investors may consider when assessing the IPO beyond its subscription numbers.

Where Rays of Belief IPO money will be used

The IPO proceeds are intended to support the company’s expansion and operating requirements. The planned use of funds includes establishing company learning centres and centres operated in partnership with licensed professionals.

The company also plans to spend on school collaboration centres, a Centre for Excellence and Research, an upskilling academy and technology hardware. A portion of the proceeds is earmarked for lease payments for existing centres in India and lease or licence payments associated with its US subsidiary.

The company has also allocated funds towards brand awareness and inclusive outreach programmes. Earlier IPO documents indicated plans to use fresh capital to support the expansion of its child therapy centre network.

Rays of Belief IPO allotment and listing dates

With bidding scheduled to close on September 3, investors will next turn their attention to the allotment process.

The basis of allotment is scheduled for September 4, 2026. Shares are expected to be credited to successful applicants after the allotment process, while the Rays of Belief shares are scheduled to begin trading on September 8, 2026. The issue is intended for listing on the NSE and BSE.

Investors should also distinguish between subscription figures and listing expectations. A heavily subscribed IPO does not guarantee listing gains or future share-price performance. Similarly, grey market premiums, where quoted, are unofficial indicators and should not be treated as assured returns.

What the Day 3 subscription numbers mean

The latest numbers show strong demand for the Rays of Belief IPO, but the category-wise distribution is important. An overall subscription of 8.63 times may appear strong, yet almost all of the momentum has come from retail and NII investors.

The QIB portion remaining at 0.02 times is particularly significant because institutional participation can provide a different indication of market appetite. Investors therefore need to consider the company’s financial performance, valuation, expansion plans and risks rather than relying only on the oversubscription figure.

At the current stage, the key event is the closing of the issue at 5 PM on September 3. Final subscription figures could change before bidding ends.

Key Takeaways

  • Allotment is scheduled for September 4 and the shares are expected to list on September 8, 2026.
