The global headquarters of the Heartfulness Institute became a stage for international soft diplomacy this weekend as representatives from over 20 countries, including the UK, Canada, Australia, and Kazakhstan, participated in the Yoga Mahotsav 2026. Satyajit Majumder, a prominent influencer and Cultural Ambassador from West Bengal, was present as an exclusive invitee of the Ministry of Ayush. While Majumder is widely recognized for his contributions to luxury travel and high-end cinematography, his participation in the record-setting mass yoga session highlighted the global reach of India’s wellness framework.
“Seeing delegates from Singapore to a refugee camp in Uganda practicing together shows that yoga is India’s most unifying gift to the world,” Majumder shared during the event. The gathering was not merely a ceremonial countdown; it was designed to trigger a nationwide cascade of events, from school programmes to community awareness campaigns. Minister Prataprao Jadhav announced that the next major milestone will be observed near Khajuraho, Madhya Pradesh, symbolising the confluence of India’s cultural architecture and wellness traditions. For Majumder, the event proved that India continues to lead the global pursuit of holistic health.
